Last week, Beyond Meat debuted in two Los Angeles Del Taco locations (Santa Monica and Culver City) before expanding nationwide. The Beyond Meat Beef Crumbles—a plant-based meat made from pea protein—can be a meat substitute in any of their dishes, like their tacos, burritos, and nachos. Del Taco goers can also enjoy the Beyond Avocado (which features the “beefy” crumbles, lettuce, tomato, avocado wrapped in a corn or flour tortilla) and the Beyond Taco (that can be made vegan by omitting the cheese).

It is no surprise that Beyond Meat is the first plant-based meat to hit this fast food chain. They company has sold over 13 million burgers since it debuted in 2016 and has even admitted to having trouble keeping up with demand. Beyond Meat also sells at Amazon Fresh and 20,000 other grocery retailers as well as 10,000 restaurants, hotels, and universities. I’d say Beyond Meat is here to stay!
