Veg Delivery Orders Up 987%
The international food delivery company, Just Eat, has reported that orders for vegan and vegetarian meals rose a whopping 987 percent in 2017. The company currently delivers in 15 different countries, such as Brazil, Denmark, Spain, and New Zealand, and can see a definite trend taking place in the food communities around the world. They said that 33 percent of its partner restaurants now offer vegan options, with some even having separate completely vegan menus. This trend can even be seen by the popular US-based food delivery service, GrubHub.
This comes as no surprise after the countless investigations into farms and slaughterhouses, informative documentaries showcasing the damage animal products have on our health and the planet, and the fact that people are starting to realize there is no moral differences between the animals we eat and the animals we love so dearly in our homes. This is one trend that won’t end.
