Almond milk

With its creamy texture and mild nuttiness, this almond milk is smooth from the first sip to the last. Enjoy it chilled or swirled into warm drinks.

Ingredients

  • 1.0 cups almonds
  • 6.25 cups water

Preparation

  1. Soak: Place the almonds in 2 cups of hot water and soak for 10 minutes. Drain and remove the skins if desired.
  2. Blend: Add the soaked almonds and 4 ¼ cups of fresh water to a blender. Blend on high speed for at least 1 minute.
  3. Strain: Set a fine sieve or a mesh strainer for plant-based milks over a large container. Slowly pour in the blended mixture, letting the liquid pass through while the pulp stays behind.
  4. Store: Transfer the almond milk to a glass jar or airtight container. Refrigerate until ready to drink.
