Baked oatmeal with apples

Dessert for breakfast? Yes, please! Warm, creamy, and topped with cinnamon and plant-based yogurt, this oatmeal is here to sweeten up your morning. Simply preheat the oven, mix, bake, and stir! 

Ingredients

  • 3.0 cups oats
  • 3.0 cups plant-based milk
  • 1.5 cups apple sauce
  • 1.0 pinch salt
  • .5 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 apples
  • .5 tsp. cinnamon
  • .75 cups plant-based yogurt

Preparation

 

  1. Prepare: Preheat your oven to 320°F. Grease and flour a springform pan.
  2. Combine: Mix oats, plant milk, apple sauce, salt and vanilla. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan.
  3. Dice: Dice your apples into small cubes and sprinkle them on top. 
  4. Bake: Bake for about 45 minutes in a preheated oven.
  5. Serve: Let it rest for 10 minutes. Top with plant-based yogurt and cinnamon and enjoy!

Tips

 

Do you prefer bananas over apples? Purée 2 small, ripe bananas and add them to the mixture instead of applesauce. You can also top your baked oatmeal with nuts and dried or fresh fruit.
