Brigadeiros

These rich, fudgy brigadeiros are made with creamy coconut milk, cocoa powder, and vegan butter, then rolled into bite-sized delights and coated with your favorite crunchy toppings. Whether it’s coconut, nuts, or seeds, each bite is a decadent blend of smooth chocolate and satisfying texture. Perfect for sharing—or savoring all to yourself!

Ingredients

  • 0.5 cups  cocoa powder
  • 2.0  cans of coconut milk
  • 0.125 tsp. sea salt
  • 2.0 tbsp. vegan butter
  • Crushed or chopped toppings of your choice

Preparation

 

  1. Pour the coconut milk into a medium pot. Heat until it reduces a little, then add the cocoa, vegan butter, and salt. Stir constantly over low heat, letting it reduce until it has a consistency so thick that you can see the bottom of the pot when you move it.
  2. Pour the thick mixture into a greased container, and let it cool to room temperature. Then, refrigerate it for two hours.
  3. Using a spoon, form the mixture into balls of equal size. 
  4. Coat them with toppings of your choice. Place them on a tray, then refrigerate them again for at least one hour before serving.
