Chocolate mousse

Here at Love Veg, we believe chocolate is always a good idea. That’s why we’ve crafted this chocolate mousse, topped with bananas and raspberries for an extra layer of sweetness. Easy to make and perfect for sharing, this recipe features simple, plant-based ingredients you can find at most major grocery stores.

Ingredients

  • 2.0 cups plant-based chocolate milk
  • 2.0 tbsp. corn starch
  • 0.333 cups granulated sugar
  • 1.0 cups dairy-free chocolate chips
  • 2.0 cups plant-based whipped cream
  • bananas to serve
  • raspberries to serve

Preparation

 

  1. Combine, heat, and stir: In a medium-sized pot, combine the plant-based chocolate milk, cornstarch, and sugar. Turn the heat to low and cover for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. 
  2. Add the chocolate: Add dairy-free chocolate chips and keep stirring until the mixture has thickened. Cover with a lid and turn off the stove so it doesn’t burn. 
  3. Let the mousse cool: Pour into a bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let the mousse chill for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  4. Assemble: After the mousse has cooled, fold in 2 cups of plant-based whipped cream. Top with bananas and/or raspberries and enjoy!
