Mango-habanero jam

Sweet, fruity, and fiery, this jam is a perfect balance of tropical mango and spicy habanero. Enjoy it on warm toast, swirl it into yogurt, or spread evenly on your pancakes. 

Ingredients

 

  • 1.1 pounds mango, peeled and pulped
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 habanero chili, thinly sliced (wear gloves)

Preparation

 

  1. Cook: Mango pulp over medium heat until it starts to boil.
  2. Stir: Add sugar and mix until dissolved.
  3. Simmer: Add habanero slices, reduce heat, and cook until the mixture thickens.
  4. Store: Let cool and transfer to an airtight jar.
