Plant-based pigs in a blanket

Perfect for Sunday football, a Friday night snack, or whenever you’re craving a bite of nostalgia, these plant-based pigs in a blanket are quick to make and even easier to devour. Tuck in a slice of dairy-free cheez for a gooey upgrade!

Ingredients

 

  • Pillsbury Crescent Rolls (the Original or Butter Flake)
  • Plant-based hot dogs (Lightlife, Field Roast, Tofurkey, Updog, Beyond, and Impossible are all good options)
  • Optional: Sliced dairy-free cheez (try Chao by Field Roast, Follow Your Heart, or Violife)

Preparation

 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Roll out and separate the crescent roll triangles.
  2. Halve the veggie dogs. Roll the crescent triangles around the veggie dogs, and place them on baking sheets.
  3. Bake for about 15 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
  4. Optional: Put a slice of dairy-free cheez inside before baking! 

Tips

Brush the pastry with a mix of Dijon mustard and a splash of maple syrup before wrapping for extra flavor.
