Ingredients

Calories: 640 Protein: 23.5 g
  • 1.5 cups extra firm tofu
  • 2 tbsp. paprika
  • .5 tbsp. ground white pepper (if you don't have white, use black)
  • .5 tbsp. garlic powder
  • .5 tbsp. onion powder
  • .5 tbsp. salt
  • 1.0 tsp. cumin powder
  • 1.0 tsp. clove powder
  • 4 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • tortillas, chopped cilantro and onion, lemons, and hot sauce

Preparation

  1. Preheat your oven to 350º F (175º C).
  2. Remove the tofu from the packaging, and let it drain. Without beating, break it apart with a fork in a medium bowl.
  3. In a container, mix all the ingredients except the tofu.
  4. Pour this mixture over the crumbled tofu, and mix well without beating.
  5. To make your crispy chorizo, place the tofu in the oven. Bake for 10 minutes or until you obtain a chorizo consistency.
  6. Heat the tortillas, and assemble your tacos. Add chopped cilantro and onion, hot sauce, and a few drops of lemon juice.
